Wedding reception decorations? I am looking for people who are selling their used wedding decorations? My colors are white, pink, and magenta. I am looking for Maine/ocean themed stuff as well as white lights and those rice paper globes. Anyone have any suggestions?

What are the BEST BOOKS, MAGAZINES and WEBSITES that would show me WEDDING and RECEPTION DECORATIONS/ IDEAS? I already know about theknot.com and weddingchannel.com (searched them over again and again -- The Knot has some great stuff with Real Weddings that has helped me out) and I have been looking at Brides, Elegant Brides, Modern Bride, etc. They all seem to focus more on the dresses and rings and not on decorations or reception ideas. We are having an outdoor summertime evening wedding next year and we want it to be in between formal and informal. I was thinking of a country (but not gingham check tablecloths and sunflowers) and sunset theme (idea from a YahooAnswers buddy...Thanks Miss D!!). Wedding reception decorations ideas? So I am getting married very soon. I decided to take an alternative route and just get married at city hall but were still having a nice sized reception wouldnt say big though. I just about have everything covered. I found a reasonably priced location. My mother in law is cooking the food. I will be buying the alcohol and my fiancee has good friend who dj's now my question is this, since im not doing the wedding thing. What should do for centerpieces and decorations at the venue? I havent decided on a color quite yet but I have some thoughts and I just need some overall opinions on what I should do and I dont want to spend crazy on decorations, but I dont want to have cheesy looking reception either. Need creative ideas for wedding reception decorations? My brother is getting married in June. His fiance and her mother have asked me to help with the wedding reception. (particularly the decorations) She is wanting a summer(ish) themed wedding. She knows she wants bird of paradise for her flower. Ideas for do it yourself wedding/reception decorations? We're having an outdoor wedding/reception at my dad's house and I want some ideas for decorations that are easy and inexpensive. Any thoughts? Wedding reception decorations... balloons and flowers/ or just flowers? I am trying to organise the decoration of my reception hall, we are having 7 tables and a top table, on each table there will be a 'fish bowl' with white roses and black beads and ribbon, on top of a mirror with 4 tealight candles. On the top table there will be a long row of white roses with some sort of black detail and black pillar candles on each end. Do I need balloons in the room or will this be too much? wedding reception decoration on a budget.? my aunts wedding is on less than a month. im the maid of honor and so far ive been put in charge of doing the brides hair, doing one of the brides maids hair, doing my own hair, doing the brides mother's hair, decorating a poster about the brides dad (becasue he died a while back), and decorating the reception hall. ive figured out what im going to do for the tables. im going to do white floating candles in glass bowls with fake green leaves around the bottoms of the bowls as centerpieces for all of the tables except the bride and grooms. with white table cloths on all of them except theirs, too. i might put green under theirs but im not sure. well, i dont have a lot of money to do the decorations with, and im running out of ideas. the place we rented is really bland and needs a lot of work done to it. what are some really CHEAP ways i can decorate the reception hall? other than just the tables? extra info: the wedding colors are sage green, white, and silver. and her dress is made to look kind of antique-ish. any help is appreciated. i know. but the other bridesmaids arent really that helpful. lol. one of the bridesmaids daughters is going to help with the decorations. and she is paying for it, but she hasnt given me an exact amount yet. just that everything needs to be cheap. im not PAYING for the stuff. she is. but she chose me to do her hair because im good at it, lol. and im cheaper. she's stressed enough as it is. everyone's been trying to help her out alot. and we're like best friends. the other bridemaid asked me to do her hair to, but the style she wants only takes a few minutes to do, and all im doing to mine is braiding it. its really not much to ask, considering all the other stuff we've been doing as a team. i just need help with how i should decorate.. thx for all the help so far. I am planning a reception for my parents 30th wedding anniversary, where can I find decorations for it? I have searched and searched for places to purchase 30th wedding anniversay decorations, but I can only find things available in the UK. I do not want to use anything for birthdays because there's really no way to change them into looking more anniversary-like. If I cannot find many things with 30th on it, I would be happy to go along with solid "pearl" color since it represents 30. What are some alternatives to live/fake flowers for wedding decorations? Never really understood spending thousands of dollars on live flowers for a wedding reception. They're just going to dry out in a week. Tens of thousands of dollars dried up in a week. I think I want to make centerpieces out of empty cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. OOH! I like balloons. Help give me reasons why Betta Fish would be impractical as table decorations at a Wedding Reception!? I'm helping to plan my daughter's wedding and her fiance, who is a marine biologist, would love to have blue-green bettas in bowls on each table as part of the decorations. However, we live in a small town, so I would have to have them shipped in, and then find homes for them, because my daugher and new husband live 3,000 miles away and couldn't take them, and I just don't have the time to take care of them - we're talking probably about 10 bettas! Any ideas, I told him I'd try to get just about anything they want for their special day (since most of the family/friends are here and they are having to travel and allow us to plan this long distance!). Wedding colors and reception decoration? I've finally decided that I want fuscia, orange and kiwi as my colors for my wedding. Its a beach wedding so the bold colors will give it an island tropical feel. But the room is decorated in maroon/burgundy-esque and gold. the drapes around the windows are the dark burgundy-ish with accents of gold. Its a lovely room but I've been told that I can't change any of the drapes. How can I tell if my colors will work in that room? Please help!

Wedding reception decoration ideas!? I'm having my wedding reception at a community college dining hall (small budget). Its in January in Chicago, so there's gonna be snow upto our ankes!! Wedding Reception Decoration? I am having my wedding reception in our backyard. It will be really pretty in the spring when all the flowers are blooming etc. I have one problem and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. I am having about 50-60 guest and will rent white tables and chairs and place them on my grass area. The problem is half of our backyard is rock, we live in the desert in CA and this is common. crazy wedding/reception ideas? ok, some i'm getting married next june, and i'm wanting some ideas for our reception. we want to have a normal(esque) wedding and a really goofy, off the wall reception. we're not big on fancy stuff and impressing people with matching table decorations and $800 cakes like some people i know, and a few months ago we started joking around about getting a ball pit and a bounce around, and having some friends dress up in bear costumes and serve food.....well now we're kinda really wanting to do it...serioulsy. we think it would be hilarious and fun for everyone. it would also really reflect our personalities (he's a drummer, i'm an artist) so anyway, we need some ideas to go along with our reception (decorations, food, location, etc) i'd prefer people not to just answer out of meaness either, but to the people that are being genuinely helpful, THANK YOU!!!

Reception Decoration Ideas for a Garden Wedding? I need help thinking of ideas for centerpieces, decor, favors, etc. for my reception. The reception is going to be held in a garden and we're serving an afternoon tea. My colors are red, ivory, and champagne and the theme is sort of Rustic/ Vintage/ Garden-y.
