wedding favor/cake ideas for a gay commitment ceremony...?

two of my best friends are gay and they are having a commitment ceremony next month. they wanted some help so i said i would take care of the cake and the wedding favors. they wanted to incorporate the rainbow theme but they didn't want it to be too much. i was wondering if anyone has any cute ideas for the cake and favors or if someone has had this theme and had pictures or any ideas i could use. i really appreciate it!!

1. You could maybe do cup cakes with little plastic rainbow toppers. Or if they want a more traditional cake I'm sure you could find a rainbow cake topper on line, just google it. For a favore you could do skitles in a little tulle bag. BTW: I think it's awsome your friends are doing this. So many people just don't understand how important this is to gay couples. I'm strait, but have many gay friends and family members. Tell them CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

4. I'm planning on doing a candy buffet for my favors. Maybe they could do the same but with different colored candies like the rainbow and put them in clear jars. Also, maybe those rainbow candy cane sticks. Below is just an idea but just to give you an idea. Plus, you can make a nice sign for the table saying "Love is Sweet"
5. I attended a commitment ceremony years ago in college and they had six small cakes---red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and each one was a different flavor, like red velvet, hummingbird, buttercream and they were arranged on different height stands to form a sort of rainbow. It was great because it offered so many flavors to choose from and it wasn't just obvious flaming rainbow themed, Then the favors were purple unicorn candles with rainbow ribbon around the neck.
