  3. If you go to M&Ms.com you can order personalized M&Ms' with your name, wedding date, thank you, or whatever you want on them. They also come in a ton of different colors that you could match with your wedding colors. I did these for my wedding and put them in little bags and people loved them. Congrats! theknot.com has some cute ideas too.
  4. It depends upon what month you will be getting married in. If you get married in the fall, then candy corn is nice, with caramel coated apples dipped in nuts or dried fruit. December weddings, have candy canes. In February, chocolate hearts. In the spring, an assortment of hard candies. and gummy bears. And, in the summer, salt water taffy is a favorite.
  5. For my daughter's wedding we had little white silky bags with ribbon drawstrings and put 3 or 4 chocolate kisses and hugs in them. Then put a little tag on that said Hugs and Kisses to you from , then the bride and groom's name.
  6. at my wedding, i had nice glass coasters with the word love on it... tied a bow around it and put them in a nice see through bag and tied that with ribbon.. i also added a name tag to it and had it as a favor and place cards for the tables. everyone seemed to love them...
  7. depends on the time of year but some classic greats that guests actually take home are: Homemade caramel apples (fall wedding) Koozies Cookies lollipops chopsticks (asian themed wedding obviously) fortune cookies personalized with your wedding date and a cute saying (there are great DIY recipes online for these) candles and/or candle holders I went to a wedding once where the bride was a kindergarten teacher and she had little DIY picture frames on each table where you could make your own picture frame and they had a polaroid camera so you could put a picture fo you at the wedding in it. It was really cute!
  8. a donation to your favourite charity and at each guests placesetting put a little card announcing 'in lieu of favours we donated to the heart and stroke foundation.' or whatever charity it is you choose. favours are just another retailers idea to make money. most of us don't even bother taking them home. happy wedding sweetie.
  9. Anything edible. Don't waste your time or money on anything else. If it's not, most people just throw it away or leave it at the reception.
