  1. Generally the order is dinner, then toasts. That way people are still sitting and you will have their attention. The the cake cutting and on to the first dance, father bride dance, wedding party dance...then open the floor.
  2. i'm a wedding photographer and most of them are like this... introductions toasts dinner cake cutting first dance father of bride dance mother of groom dance wedding party dance dancing garter & bouquet toss I shot a wedding this halloween and they had those eye masks at every table, and the bride and groom had their own special ones as well as the wedding party. The women had eye masks with the stick handle.
  3. It really varies, but on average it's: cocktail hour, receiving line (during cocktails), introductions, best man's speech/toast, Maid of honor speech/toast, dinner, cake cutting is done during dinner (the DJ makes an announcement that the bride and groom are going to cut the cake and they get up between salad and entree), after dinner, bar reopens, first dances then open dance floor, later at some point you would do the garter and bouquet if you are doing them.
  4. My order is different from the previous answers, so I guess there really isn't a set procedure. Our reception went like this: -Introduction -Bride & Groom's first dance -Dancing -Toast -Dinner -Parent Dances -Cake Cutting -Venetian Hour (more desserts) There was pretty much dancing throughout the whole night. Also, we didn't do the garter or bouquet toss so I'm not sure where that would fit. I hope this helps!
  5. I was at a particularly large wedding that had the toasts and the cake cutting before dinner was served. (It was a buffet) After the bridal party finished eating, the bride and groom went around to the tables to visit with their guests in the order the tables went to the buffet. So, there is no set procedure. Do whatever works for you!
  6. we are walking in to our first dance , then toast, dinner, dancing cake dancing, dancing , dancing. Our friends and family love to dance.
  7. I went to 3 weddings this year and all 3 were different from how I did mine. One cut the cake right away. another did the dances right away. . The way we did our wedding was toast, dinner, dances, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss. You can do it any way you like.
