When can I use my bridal shower gifts?

My fiancee and I live together and are wondering if we can use our shower gifts before we get married?

1. yes that's perfectly fine. I used my gifts before the wedding. We didn't have a toaster and a lot of plate sets and towels. We used them the day after my shower.
2. i wouldn't i would leave something different in our lives for after the wedding i'm a romantic that way
3. Once they gift it to you, its your's so you can do whatever you want with the gifts, and if you want to use them now thats perfectly fine. Anyways, no one's going to know! Haha. Don't worry. They were given to you keeping you in mind and basically giving you what you need, and if you need them now, then thats fine. Cheers! Silver
4. Of course you can use them before you get married. There is no rule that you can't use them until the wedding. Have fun and enjoy your new housewares!
5. You can do what you want with the gifts BUT they were given to you under the intention that it was a "bridal shower" so they were gifts for the bride. You are not a bride yet. I have had the experience of giving a shower gift and the wedding was called off and the shower gifts were returned. It depends if you are a traditionalist or superstitious at all. in those cases, I'd say you keep everything until the wedding and you start your wedded life with everything new as intended. If your wedding is very close and you are desperate to use things and you don't give a fig for tradition, then go ahead! As you are living together, I guess that you are doing things "your way" anyway and the tradition of keeping gifts for after the wedding , just like living together "after" the marriage, wouldn't be your cuppa tea.
