What do I wear to a late august wedding reception?

I'm going to my boyfriends sisters wedding, which he is in, but i'm going to the reception only. The wedding is afternoon I believe, and the reception shortly after? I'm not quite sure on exact times yet. I currently have a yellow/blue pink floral dress with a pair of pink wedges, but I'm not sure if its too bright for the reception? Or if I should look for something less bright. Help!

1. Wear black. There's a 50% chance that it will end up in divorce so dress as if you're in mourning.
2. It sounds fine for a afternoon affair as long as you do not show too much skin nor is too flashy.Be sure it ie not too csual like a sun dress. You do not want it to be too loud. Remember yuor a guest not part of the bridal party. The focus is suppose to be on the bride.
