Greek Wedding Favors

Does anybody have any cute wedding favor ideas for a country themed wedding?

I am getting married in October of this year and I need some cute ideas for favors. Please...no cookie cutter favors, I think I have seen them all! I'm on a tight budget for favors, so if anyone could give me some suggestions, I would really appreciate it! Thanks so much!

  1. At my cousins wedding that took place in the fall and on a farm, she had candy apples as a favour.
  2. We're doing a candy bar. I've wanted one for years (before they became trendy) and my fiance and I LOVE candy and junk food. We're going to have big jars of our favourite candies and little chinese takeout boxes in our wedding colours. Then as people leave they can take what they want. I think I will make fancy little "name tags" to stick on the boxes with a saying and our wedding date too.
  3. Try going to stores like dollar tree or the 99cent store, for different times of the year, they'll carry all sorts of things. In late Aug. they should start to put out Fall things, like little scarecrows or pumpkins (those are just examples, there's more items too) that you can fill with goodies (candies, snacks, hot chocolate packets, candles, etc)
  4. How about cheap cowboy hats? That seems cute!
  5. Bake something yummy and wrap them individually in some cute packaging. Or you could give seed packets (flowers, veggies?)
  6. you can have a bridal shower and you and the ladies can make your own bath salts, or you can donate money to a favorite charity and if you invite a hundred guest or more to your wedding then have them donate $5.00 or more to the charity. these are great and frugal wedding ideas to me.
  7. http://www.efavormart.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1606 little boxes with cowboy hats that you can fill with candy I just found these bells and bubbles at oriental trading. They have lots of cute little ideas! http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/search/processRequest.do?Ntt=Rustic+Cowbells&requestURI=searchMain&Ntk=all&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&N=0&x=28&y=11 http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/search/processRequest.do?Ntt=boot+wedding+bubbles&requestURI=searchMain&Ntk=all&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&N=0
  8. An ear of corn? Picked flowers? You don't necesarily have to give them favors, I mean what do you do with the bubbles and other favors you get from weddings, get rid of them after awhile. Country- that makes me think of nice and simple, I don't think you need to give them anything....
  9. Little bottles of maple syrup. That may get expensive, but you could by in bulk and fill the yourself. Maple candy bought in bulk may not be too bad, you don't need to give much. I am all for edible favors, people don't need More junk they won't use. Chocolate truffles are classy and a little goes a lone way. If you ave closer family member that want a real keepsake, buy them one. Little picture frames without anything engraved on them can be OK. The best non edible favor in my opinion is pens, you can put your names on these since people will use them no matter what,
  10. this isnt going to answer your question. but it made me think about something else....how cute would it be to have your party do a line dance down the isle?
  11. I saw personalized cow bells,,,if you like that idea.
  12. I don't know how much these kinds of things would cost, but this site seems to have a lot of ideas: http://weddings.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Western_Wedding_Favors
  13. Hi Emily, I am not sure if they have country themes, but I found my favors at http://www.aweddingfavorite.com Good luck to you!
  14. I saw this page on a website about cheap wedding favors: http://www.weddingplanning411.com/Inexpensive_Wedding_Favors.html and it had an idea that may work for a country-themed wedding: seed packets. You can either get a few seed packets together and tie them with a ribbon, or put a seed packet and a cheap little pot together as a gift. I think it's pretty neat because the seeds symbolize growth, and the starting of a new life together. And, if the people plan them they'll be reminded of you.
