Unique Wedding Favor Ideas For a Girl on a Budget?
I am in need of ideas for wedding favors. I would like to do something economical, but defineatly no bubbles or candles. Do you have any ideas that are unique? Maybe something people can actually use? It will be an outdoor wedding, so I will have handheld fans.....I would like my favors to useful after the wedding as well. Also, don't forget the little ones. Any suggestion is welcome. Thank You.

- Well I don't know if this idea will allow them to keep the favor after the wedding, but a lot of people are doing candy buffets, they are gettinga bunch of different candy, in their wedding colors,so if your colors were red, you could do licorice, hot tamles, red suckers, ect.... anyway then have bags there and your guest can choose if they want a favor or not and the amount they want, plus it looks really neat. Good Luck .
- Edible favors will go good with both adults and children. Cookies, jelly beans, tic tacs, m&m's are the best choice fro edibles since you are having an out door wedding. Good luck and congrats
- Try http://www.orientaltrading.com/ they have pretty good prices and really cute stuff. and here's a more direct link to the wedding stuff http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=home.jsp&event=catalog&categoryId=377344&tabId=PartySupplies
- A cd of all love songs and your favorite songs. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7069931&st=cds&type=product&id=1108126236666 then you can create a label on the computer and stick it on! or buy them with the cases and create a little insert thanking yoru guests for coming to the wedding http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6412562&st=cds&lp=15&type=product&cp=1&id=1077626358243
- we just bought mini Chinese take-out boxes and filled them with candy - kisses and other small wrapped chocolates. it was simple and everyone likes candy. I think if you're doing fans, that should be good enough. the only wedding favor I've ever used was the CD from my best friend's wedding - it included songs from their reception that reflected their relationship. other than that, something edible is good. pretty much everything else is crap people will throw out. so save your money. favors are option anyway.
- My wedding is next year. I'll share with you what I'm going to do but I'm not sure how economical it is. I will be using photographs of my fiance and I as the favors.
- use a picture of you and your groom. they can put it in a scrapebook next to your wedding invitation to remember your special day.
- we actually made a donation to Avon Breast Cancer Foundation, so maybe you can make a donation to one of your favorite charities or maybe fpersonalized flower seed packets and then they can plant them and be reminded of your special day!
- Candy!!!! Everyone loves food. Find a candy store in your area and stock up. I plan on doing M&Ms. Their website sells one pound bags, one color and personalized M&Ms for $12. That's a little too much. But, I found a candy shop in my area that sells them for $8 a pound. They aren't personalized or anything, but you can buy all one color in bulk. If I buy them at the candy store, I'll save on shipping costs too. I'm thinking about putting the M&Ms in cute decorative bowls on the table and providing little bags or boxes. People can take what they want.
- I did a candy buffet at my wedding and it was a hit! Just get the candy from a Costco or Sam's Club. Find vases or containers that you have around the house. If you don't have any, try the thrift store or yard sales. I had chinese take out container for my guest to put their candy in. They were super cheap at www.papermart.com.
- I'm also having an outdoor wedding, so I'm just going to have the handheld folding fans with a tag/ribbon on them. It seems like everything else just gets thrown away.
- We are using personalized shot glasses from discountmugs.com .61 each which was cheap when you consider we are having 250 guests (thats only the adult count)
- I got married outside in Louisiana in May of this year. We mixed our own cajun seasoning. I ordered bulk spices and spice bottles on-line. I got the cajun seasoning recipe on-line too. The total cost was fairly low- $0.75 or so per favor. I know this only works in specific locations, but since a lot of our guests were from out of town, it was nice for them to take a bit of the regional cuisine.
- Well.... I know my family likes to drink. So for my wedding I am using Koozies. Family can use them for soda, beer whatever. I will also put little pouches of cloth filled with wedding mints, wedding cookies or peanuts inside. here's the link to what my koozies look like
- I'd skip it entirely. Most people will leave them. It's a waste of your time and valuable resources. Let your guests take happy memories home, not dust sucking junk like pirated CDs and shot glasses for boozers. One woman suggested flavored condoms from Planned Parenthood.
- chinese fortune cookies dipped in chocolate..the fortune can read "Mike & Jenna 07/07/07" put into a little chinese food take out boxes
